We plan to film the footage for our trailer during the half term because we will have more time to film during day light and also if we go wrong, we wont have to wait until the weekend before we can film again.
However, even though we have drawn out our story board and have put it all together on final cut express, we have still not finished the music to accompany our animatics. Another thing that has gone a bit wrong is that since putting our animatics together, we have found out that we aren't completely happy with our trailer and we feel that it needs something else. Obviously the trailer might turn out better once it has been filmed and edited better than our animatics have. We are going to try and stick to our story board to avoid disorganisation and any mistakes, but we have also written a list of other shots to film that we might be able to add into our film during editing.
I don't feel that we are up to date and I am worried that when we film in the half term, we wont be properly prepared and we will end up rushing shots off in order to get it out the way. Half of our group is away today, but in the next lesson I think we need to go through our storyboard and think of all the posible different shots we can do and also make a checklist of all of the props and outfits that we need on the day.
In terms of equiptment, we used the film camera to film our music video and our AS coursework, so we feel comfortable using this sort of camera; however, we are thinking of using a flip cam this year because the quality is often better. We did worry about the steadyness of the flip cams, but we have access to a tripod so this shouldn't be too much of a problem.
